China Glaze Cowardly Lyin + 242 Brown Crackle

Cowardly Lyin has been sitting in my untrieds for a while. I got it on Sally's clearance around Christmas time, so I thought it was high time I gave it a try.

What an odd color. It's a sheer frosty gold base with gold micro glitter. Not sure I love this one.

So I thought I'd try one of my new Kleancolor crackle polishes in brown. I was going for a kind of giraffe thing...

Well, it's didn't work out so well. It's been H O T in Michigan lately and very humid. I don't think crackles like to work in humidity, cuz like my Cover Girl one earlier, this one just sort of buckled instead of cracked. So far the Kleancolor crackles have not made a good 1st impression with me.

Eeeeww....sorry I made you look at that! ha ha.

  1. Yikes! Maybe shelf this for a couple months and try it when it's not so humid. I can see the potential though. :)

  2. boo. maybe try to do nails at some random public place.. like the mall or anywhere they have air conditioning. I'm that nail crazy; I'd probably do that.

  3. I read from a review that if you wait about 8 minutes after applying the base to put KleanColor on, it would crack in a more desirable pattern :) Haven't tried it myself but hope for the best lol

    @ Pretty: awesome idea! LOL
@ Halifax: thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to try that. Anything is better than this mess.

  5. Cowardly Lyin on its own isn't all that great. Love it with the crackle over it. But too bad the crackle didn't dry/crackle property :(

  7. Ooh...it looks like a chocolate syrup accident.
Chocolate syrup is tasty at least.
Hopefully, next time you use it, it comes out more crackly!
