RCM: Midnight Affair + NOPI Bring on the Tinsel

So far, my absolute favorite color in the RCM line is Midnight Affair. This is after 1 week of wear and still holding strong. The top coat is a bit scuffed up because I changed up the mani by layering over it several times throughout the week. Midnight Affair is a super vampy cobalt blue jelly LED gel polish. It's my new favorite blue. It's so dark, but you can totally tell it's blue, even in low light....perfection!

Here is MA layered with NOPI's Bring on the Tinsel. MA makes a wonderful base for other colors. I think these two look great together.

OPI Wheel #1

This wheel includes one of my favorite holiday collections ever, the 2009 collection. Merry Midnight, Smitten with Mittens and Ginger Bell are favorites.

last year's Ulta holiday exclusives:

Ginger Bells is one of my favorites. I wish I would have gotten a backup!

Glittah

I got Keys to my Karma and Vodka and Cavaier for my Clarins 230 franken. I don't think I've ever worn either on its own.

Movin Out is a beautiful duo chrome

Nicole by OPI In Your Hands + Sally Hansen Magnet

In Your Hands is a dark blue jelly polish by Nichole by OPI. I purchased it for frankening, but haven't done anything with it yet. It's pretty nice by itself -dark but not black, but you know me, I need sparkle!

So I decided to add a layer of Sally Hansen's Limited Edition color called Magnet. Magnet is a light blue jelly with holo glitter. In Your Hands is a perfect base color for Magnet. They compliment each other nicely. It's a bit too close to looking black, but the glitter brightens it up enough for me ☺

Since there was no sunlight, this is under my Ikea lamp.

Nichole by OPI: Spark my Mistletoe

Today, I have another kick @ss red to show you. This is Spark my Mistletoe. The bottle color is a clear base with red microglitter and I guess micro hex glitter. The hexes are quite small, but larger than the red glitter.

Here is the bottle:

And on the left is the color solo. Nice! And then layered over Femme Noir, which is a dark blacked red color:

This is so pretty! Although, I wanted to try it layered over a green....I was going for the holly look. I layered it over China Glaze Jolly Holly, and here was the result:

Yeah, that didn't exactly work out....yuck! What a mess.

French Manicure

Today's NOTD is a french manicure. I used scotch tape as a guide and added white, with a silver stripe underneath, and topped it with Nichole by OPI's Imagine If...

OPI: Quarter of a Cent-Cherry

OPI's Quarter of a Cent-Cherry is an awesome red, not really a jelly, but not a cream. It's kinda in between. I'm a sucker for a good red polish!

I topped the red with Nichole by OPI's Imagine If... It's a fleck-y silver holo, reminiscent of China Glaze Kaleidoscope or the new Milani holos.

No sunlight today, so I wasn't able to get a good shot of the holo effect, but you get the idea :)
