♥ Happy Valentines' Day! ♥

Happy Valentine's Day! The base color of here is Gouda Gouda Two Shoes from the OPI Holland collection. It's a nice warm rose color with orange shimmer. So, for V-day, I decided to break out the Konad. Every year I do hearts, so for something different, I chose the rose design from plate M65. I used Ulta Baby Doll to stamp with. Baby Doll is a very pale pink cream. I love the two colors together and I really like how Baby Doll is kind of subtle against GGTS. I was going to go with white, but I think the design would take away from the base color too much, so I'm pretty happy with how this turned out ♥

Another super layered experiment

Well, I did it again. Sometimes I never know when to quit...I started off with Ulta's After Midnight. This is two coats + one coat of Seche Vite

So of course I thought I needed a bit of sparkle, so I added one layer of Mrs Claus with another layer of Seche Vite:

Still not done! I added one more layer of Nfu Oh 40:

Here's a closeup:

It's strangely interesting to look at. I do think it shows better IRL instead of photos...and this makes me want to layer 40 over a red. I like the red base/blue flakie combo.

Too many layers? Never!

Do you every have one of those days when you take your time, pick your color and finish a manicure, but just aren't satisfied with the results? I started off with a nice blacked red color, Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine in Sparkling. Now I love me a good blackened red...in fact that's probably my favorite nail shade.

Here it is:

Yes, pretty, but I needed something more...it had no umph. So I added Ulta's Bombshell. I figured it'd add a little sparkle without changing the base color too much:

Ok, better, but it still wasn't doing it for me. So, I decided "when in doubt, add flakies". So I added a thin layer of Nfu Oh's 44 and Ok, awesome! Just look at the sparkles and flakie combo:

Now that's what I needed ☺

China Glaze: Side Saddle + Ulta Bombshell

I got Sidesaddle for Christmas, and what an amazing color. I originally thought it was brown, but when I put it on, I realized it was a rich purple color with some brownish shimmer to it...and because I'm addicted to all things glitter lately, I added Ulta's Bombshell to the ring finger as an accent. You can click the picks for a larger view.

I really like the combo. And I'm totally loving the new camera! These two picks were taken under an OTT light.
