Foil Manicure

So, I decided to practice my foiling techniques today. First you have to apply the adhesive to your bare nail (it looks and smells an suspiciously like Elmers glue!). It applies white, and when it turns clear, you press the foil sheet to your nail, smooth it out and rip it off fast.

It's pretty hard to get a smooth finish...but the effect is cool.

What do you think? Unfortunately, I discovered that if you apply top coat, it breaks down the foil. Bummer...

Thanks for looking!

  1. I REALLY like this. Does it come as a kit then with the foil or is it just regular foil or what? This is fabulous on you. Did you think it was overly time consuming or typical amount of time to give yourself a mani?

  2. Thank you so much, I'm glad you like it! It was actually quite quick; it's just a matter of waiting for the adhesive to turn clear (approx 5 min).

I'm planning to do a giveaway soon and I'm going to include some foils in it :)

  3. It will work well with a non-fast top coat, or the ones they sell specially for nail art))) I love foils - they're so easy to use, and sometimes are a good way to spruce up a mani if you're feeling lazy!
