China Glaze: Marry a Millionaire

OK, since when does Ulta charge $8 for China Glaze polishes?? Remind me to check my receipt before I leave next time!

One of the expensive China Glazes I purchased today is Marry a Millionaire. This is a light purple, I'd say lilac colored glitter with some multi colored miro sized bar glitter mixed in. Usually I'm not a big fan of bar glitter, but these are so small, they blend in with the other glitter perfectly.

Color Club: The Great Divide

Like everyone else in the polish community, I probably own more crackle polishes than I know what to do with lately, so when I add another crackle to the collection, it's gotta be a good one. When I saw this in the bottle, I just had to give it a try. It's like Charla went over to the darkside.

This crack is kinda finicky like the Kleancolors, you have to get the polish at that right stage of wet/but/still/dry. I think they work best with foils or holos that dry faster. This is the 1st polish I was able to get TGD to crack properly on.

Here it is over the Snowman gold foil from the other day. I sort of have an accidental UofM theme going on! LOL.

I adore this little guy!!

Color Club: Sugar Plum Yum

This color is the other glitter in the Sally's Beauty Color Club scented set. It's called Sugar Plum Yum and it's a mixture of green glitter and irregular shaped purple hex glitter. I decided to wear this over my previous Velvet Bow mani and I really have to say I'm digging the dark red as a base for this.

Snowman Polish: Gold Foil

So, I got this Snowman polish from my BF Shmoopy when she did her last purge and I've never really worn it before. It's from I believe 2009. This color rocks, although the picks give me a horrible case of the lobster hands! LOL. This is two coats w/o topcoat.

Today's Christmas pick is a Fleetwood Mac Christmas penguin!

Color Club: Very Merry Berry

So, when did Sally's start to carry Color Club? Very Merry Berry is a Sally's exclusive holiday color, which is scented when dry. It does have a sweet smell, I suppose it's supposed to smell like berries ☺ I picked up the two glitters in the collection. VMB is a mixture of blue glitter and larger odd shaped hexes. It's kind of a weird color, but I dig it!

China Glaze: Velvet Bow

'tis the season, and I'm going through another little identity crisis with the blog layout, so please bare with me for the next couple of days while I make a few changes.

Today's color is from the China Glaze Let It Snow holiday 2011 collection, called Velvet Bow. That's got to be the perfect name for this polish! It is the exact color of those velvet bows you'd find on a poinsettia plant or other holiday item. I adore this color on too. It does wear a darker than my photo shows though.

OPI Muppets: Gone Gonzo

Yay, my 1st Christmas post! I've been wanting to get in the Christmas spirit for a while now, but I was trying to hold back until after Thanksgiving....not easy! LOL.

This is one coat of Gone Gonzo over Revlon Royal.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone has a great holiday today. This color is Loreal Owl's Night. It kind of reminds me of Freshcover's Starry Night, which you can see a pick of here. This one is lighter and you see much more of the greenish shimmer, which I like....

It's time to start the music.....

...it's time to light the lights, it's time to meet The Muppets....tonight!!

Hee! Today's the day and in honor of the new movie, I'm showcasing OPI's Rainbow Connection. I think this is my favorite from the entire Muppet collection. It's packed full of different sized multi colored glitter in a clear base. I especially like the large hexes.

You can wear it on its own (with a bit of natural nail peeking through)

or layered. This is over China Glaze Holly Day:
