Orly: Mermaid Tale

Green! I love these two colors together, I used Loreal Safari Chic as the base. SC is a nice sage green color, and overtop I used Orly's new color Mermaid Tale. MT is a clear base mixed with green micro glitter and green and aqua hexes. I topped it off with Out the Door fast dry top coat. I usually use Seche Vite, but was talked into trying OTD by the very helpful gal at Sally's. I've only used it for this one mani......so far, so good.

Red, White and Blue Water Marble

Well, my Memorial Day red, white and blue gradient was a major fail, but at least my marble manicure was a major win. I used Wet n Wild French White Creme as a base color and marbled using WnW French White Creme, WnW Red and Loreal Jet Set to Paris.

I adore this manicure so much! I marbled this on Thursday night and in an effort to make it last until Monday, I applied Gelish top coat and cured it under my LED light. I've never tried to do that using regular polish and it actually worked. I can't wait to try this with other colors. I love how shiny the Gelish top coat makes it.

This photo was pre-Gelish top coat

Hope you all are having a great weekend! We went to Greenfield Village for their Civil War Remembrance Weekend (4th year running) . Today I planted my tomato and cucumber plants in my Topsy Turvey  grower and tomorrow we get so spend some time being mellow at home.  I love long weekends!

Milani Jewel FX: Red

I found this new Milani at Meijer the other day. The display was pretty picked over, so I'm pretty happy they had this one left. Red is my absolute favorite color, so I knew I had to have this the second I saw it. The color is called simply Red and it's a clear base with red hex glitter. This is a new Jewel FX color. I layered it over Loreal Femme Noir:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone has a great holiday today. This color is Loreal Owl's Night. It kind of reminds me of Freshcover's Starry Night, which you can see a pick of here. This one is lighter and you see much more of the greenish shimmer, which I like....

Confetti: Tazmanian Devil

I recently picked up a new Confetti color, which surprised me, because I thought I had heard that the brand was going under. At any rate, Tazmanian Devil is a fun mix of multi colored hexes and regular silver micro glitters. This is one coat over Loreal Spice.

Pumpkin Polish: Red Glitter

This is one of last year's pumpkins, it's a red jelly blase with red micro glitter and silver hex glitter. I decided to layer this over Loreal Femme Noir and I love the blackened red base under this color.

Since this is the 2nd mani this week using Femme Noir as a base color, I figured it deserved a solo pick:

Isn't he cute?? Thanks for looking!

L'oreal Star Magnet: Purple

Does everyone remember these? I love magnetic polish. After you paint an individual nail while the polish is wet, you hold it up to a magnet and a pattern will appear. This color is called Purple, but it's more of a maroon-y red color - definitely NOT what I could consider purple.

I only have three magnet polishes, two L'oreal Star Magnets, and one Lancome. I'd really love to get my hands on some of the Essence ones, they have magnets that give off different patterns, but I don't think you can get them if you live in the US.

Loreal: Femme Noir

I just picked this baby up from Ulta. I had heard about on MUA, but hadn't seen any swatches. It's definitely one of those vampy colors that appear black in normal light and you only see the goodness in sun or bright light....one of my biggest pet peeves....but it's so pretty, I forgive it. I just had to have it, and well, I'm a sucker for blacked reds...

Take a look:

Can you see the shimmer? I adore it.
