Kleancolor Chunky Holo #229 Poppy

I just hauled a couple of the Kleancolor Chunky Holos after seeing them posted on The Polishaholic's website. Once I saw them, I knew I had to have 'em. These colors are duochrome glitter in jelly bases, not holographic. Make sure to enlarge the picks ☺

The 1st color here is called Poppy. Poppy is a bright red jelly with glitter that flashes green, red and gold. Here's a bottle shot:


The top 2 coats by itself and on the bottom is 2 coats over black:

Happy Memorial Day!

For Memorial Day, I reprised my 4th of July mani from last year. I used Claire's Chunky Blue (I believe that's the correct name, i don't have the bottle in front of me), a Bundle Monster image plate and Art Deco stripers in glitter red and white.



We went to Greenfield Village for the Civil War Remembrance weekend.

Clair Mood Polish - Confident / Peaceful

This one's not a very dramatic changer like some of the other Claire's moodies I have. This a a dark / light teal color. I think this is a little too cool tones for my skin color, so I don't wear it often. But every once in a while you gotta do something different.

China Glaze Moodie: Blue/Purple glitter

I originally posted a nail wheel swatch of this color, but I really wanted to do a mani with it. This is the only one of the In The Mood polishes that still changes colors. It's a dark blue / purple with blue glitter. Make sure to enlarge the picks to see the detail. This is two coats without topcoat.

Maybelline Express Finish: Wine Spritzer

Wine Spritzer is a rosey pink colored foil and one of the many Maybelline's I've found at the Dollar Tree. I usually don't go for pinks, this was part of a two pack that I originally bought for the other color. I really wouldn't have given this one a chance on it's own, but once I saw it on the nail, I was surprised that I actually liked it ☺

Subtle crackle

L O V E this mani! I used a dark purple jelly base and added one layer of LaRosa crackle polish in 01 - Maroon Red overtop. I really love Maroon Red, it's the only crackle color I own that has a shimmer to it. Make sure to click on the picks to see the detail.







I'd never heard of the brand LaRosa before, I just happened to be in a dusty when they got a shipment of them in. I was browsing online last night and I saw them available at LA Nail Supply if anyone's interested...and for a lot cheaper than I got mine! LOL. I've never purchased from LA Nail Supply before, so I can't personally vouch for them, but I just thought I'd put it out there. I have 01- Maroon Red and 10 - Snow White. My Bf Shmoopy got 09 - Sea Weed, 05 - Hot Orange (it's neon) and 11- Hot Purple. Hot Purple is another one that has shimmer to it.

Avon Gunmetal

I saved my favorite Avon for last. Gunmetal is the perfect smokey gray....nice and dark, but not black. My only issue is that after it dried, it bubbled on me.

Avon Night Violet

Ok, so even though I'm adding brighter colors here and there, I still adore my vampys. This one is right on the edge of being almost too dark, but it does a good job of staying purple.

Avan Vivid Violet

Here's another great shimmer polish from Avon. Like Blue Shock, I'm attempting to add a bit more color into my collection. I love my vampys though, but these two were a nice change.

Avon Blue Shock

I just hauled a couple of Avon polishes and Blue Shock is one of them. It's a nice intense blue, but not too "in your face". I really like it!

Ozotic spam! 503

The sun peeked out for a bit, so I decided to try and swatch Rainforest, aka 503. This is the last Ozotic in my collection and my only multi-chrome. Rainforest has a green base and flashes mostly purple and tan. This is one coat over black. I had the hardest time trying to capture the colors. They are pretty noticeable, but my camera just wouldn't cooperate...

Zoya Gwin

What a great color! Gwin is a bright (not neon) orange with gold shimmer. These two photos are taken with flash, but I think it really shows the color off well.

Wet and Wild: Blue Wants to be a Millionaire

This is the only other WnW I got from this collection, BWTBAM is a light blue holo. Like Hannah Pinktana from yesterday, it's pretty sheer and this is three coats, and you still have VNL. Still, it's a nice springy color ☺

Wet and Wild: Hannah Pinktana

This color is from the new Elytra collection of multi chrome glitters. 530 flashes fuchsia, orange and even some green, but the green is really hard to capture! Make sure to enlarge the picks. This is two coats over black.

Thanks to piCture pOlish, I just got two new Ozotics in....so I'm gonna be Ozotic spamming you the next couple of days. This color is #518, which is a true red linear holographic polish....just pure amazing! My picks don't do it justice, the holo effect on this is just crazy.

Milani: Silver Dazzle

This is one of those Milani one coat glitters, called Silver Dazzle. I adore this color! I used one coat here. I put it on Tuesday and today (Friday night) there is only minor tip wear. This one is a top coat eater. I haven't worn the other glitters in the set yet, but I assume they're the same.

Revlon Top Speed: Royal

Yikes, it's been almost a week since I posted! I realized when I posted the Clarins swatch that I forgot to include a pick of Royal by itself....so now I'm giving Royal its due. Royal does a brilliant job of being a dark (although I wouldn't call it vampy) color without looking black!

The most amazing Clarins 230 combo ever!

So, I came across this mani on The PolishAholic's blog and I just had to try it myself. What a great color combo she came up with!!

The base is 3 coats of Revlon Top Speed in Royal, one coat of Clarins 230 and one coat of NYC#203 top coat. Royal shows off Clarin's many colors so beautifully, they were meant to be worn together! Make sure to click the picks to enlarge them.

Diamond Cosmetics: Seafoam Spray

Seafoam Spray is another great springy color. It's a kind of light frosty mint green color. You can see some brush strokes, but not too badly. I saw this swatch on Scrangie's site, she's my nail crush. I see her swatch a color and I automatically want it. LOL. Who's your nail crush?
