LaRosa Crackle Shatter: Maroon Red

Here is my 2nd LaRosa Crackle polish. This is called Maroon Red, but as you can see, it's a reddish purple color. I wouldn't call it maroon. But what's so cool about it is that it has a shimmer to it. I don't think I've ever seen a crackle polish with shimmer.

Check it out (make sure to click the pick for a larger version):

OK, so I adore this crackle pattern!! I really like the larger chunks of polish rather than the skinny threads. What I did was swipe the polish up and down vertically like normal, but before it dried (work fast!) swipe it to the side in a 90 degree angle. I alternated one nail 90 degrees to the right and the one next to it to the left.

The base color is another amazing Shmoopy franken:

I only got two of the LaRosa's, but my BF Shmoopy got 3 others. Here are all five swatched. I think there were like 8 or so different ones.

You can't really tell in the photos, but this is neon.

This is a different purple than the one I got, this one has the shimmer too. Awesome!

Thanks for looking!

  2. Thanks! I was pretty happy with the crackle pattern too. I found this at a local Beauty Supply, I think it's a no-name. They had like 8 different colors.

  4. The base color is a franken made by a friend of mine. I don't know the recipe, sorry.
