Massini: Fall Promo Shade (aka Wild And Willing)

Here's another one of my Massini Fall Promo Shades. This is a dupe to Color Club's Wild and Willing. What an interesting color! It flashes between a gold, orange, pink and sometimes you get a hint of green.

Here you can see some of the orange:

and pink:

gold:

and a hint of green, which is more noticeable in the bottle, look at the "N":
Cool color, huh? It's has that foily finish similar to Orly's Space Cadet.

coupla China Glaze glitters

The first color is Meteor Shower. MS is a deep blue base with multi-colored glitter:

Glacier was so dried out when I got it, I can't believe how much thinner it took! So this is one gloopy coat overtop of Meteor Shower:

Studio M: Flair

Flair is not my usual vampy color, it's a bright orangy red shimmer. I got it on clearance for less than a dollar. Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone pays off and I think it did with this one. I would have never gotten it otherwise and I really ended up liking it.

OPI Mad as a Hatter

I adore this glitter, it's from the Alice in Wonderland collection. This is two coats, there are still a little bit of bald batches in the photos, but you can't really notice them in person.

I'll just let the pictures do the talking (don't forget you can enlarge them):

I love a good bargain!

So, I have to give props to The Krazy Coupon Lady. She's always posting great deals, and today, I saw one for NYC nail polishes. I downloaded a $1 off coupon and picked up the color Flat Iron Green for only .74!

Flat Iron Green is a dark green, that basically looks black unless in sunlight...which is a pet peeve of mine.

So, I added Nfu Oh's 40 overtop...40 has blue / green flakies and I thought with the dark green base it'd look cool.

Here's a good side view that shows off the duochrome nicely (make sure to click to enlarge the photo!)

and a closeup, another good shot of the blue and green of the flakies:

Happy Easter!

It's a Shmoopy franken

This is another great franken by my BF Shmoopy. It's a brown base with two sizes of silver glitter and a bit of red glitter thrown into the mix. I love that the touch of red glitter in this!!

click to see full sized. I think this pick best shows off the color:

Look how the silver glitter shines in the sunlight:

Another super layered experiment

Well, I did it again. Sometimes I never know when to quit...I started off with Ulta's After Midnight. This is two coats + one coat of Seche Vite

So of course I thought I needed a bit of sparkle, so I added one layer of Mrs Claus with another layer of Seche Vite:

Still not done! I added one more layer of Nfu Oh 40:

Here's a closeup:

It's strangely interesting to look at. I do think it shows better IRL instead of photos...and this makes me want to layer 40 over a red. I like the red base/blue flakie combo.

Quick Konad

I can't tell you the last time I Konaded. I think it was for Halloween! So I decided to spruce up my Massini mani from earlier. I used Konad plate M65 and Avon's Wicked. Wicked worked perfectly for Konading.

Massini: Fall Promo Shade

As you probably already know, Massini, which is now called Studio M, is Color Club. The brand is exclusive to Meijer stores. I don't know why CC bothers with a whole new brand, they're the same shades and same price. Who knows?

This shade is really the same color as Love 'Em, Leave 'Em from the Wild and Willing collection. They released the entire Wild and Willing collection, but each shade was just called "Fall Promo Shade". Wierd, huh?

It kind of makes me think of mannequin hands....but with style! It's a very pretty neutral holo.

Some Milani's

I'm testing out my new nail wheels, so here are some Milani's. These were all taken with my Jansjö lamp from Ikea. I have to say I like these wheels so much better, the other ones are so fragile....these are more durable.

Off to see Stevie tonight ♥

Yay, I'm off to my Stevie Nicks / Rod Stewart show tonight at the Joe Lewis Arena. I cant wait to hear Stevie sing Secret Love live ♥♥♥

I'm looking forward to trying out the new camera in a concert setting. If anyone's interested, I'll be updating my Stevie Nicks page with any photo/audio I may get (if I'm lucky enough).

Thanks!

Sally Hansen Extreme Wear: Fireberry Red

This is my Stevie concert mani (can't wait for the show tomorrow). Fireberry red is a dark red base with gold and red glass flecks. I adore a vampy red....my absolute favorite color.

and I guess I'm just a glitter addict. I really did love Fireberry Red all by itself, but I'm just not happy without some sparkle. Tipsy was a prefect compliment. It's added a bit of pizazz to it without changing the base color too much.

Coupla greens today....

So, the first two polishes in this post are long overdue for a shout out. I won Just Peachy's 100 follower giveaway back in January. She put together a wonderful package with all sorts of makeup goodies and these two polishes were part of it. Thanks again for the amazing package ☺

So the brand is called Cosmetic Arts and this color is called New Years Ball. It's a kind of tealish green.

All the Trimmings is a very unique color, it's a lighter green base with purple...hmm, it's not really your typical glitter. It's not grittey glitter, it's more like a flakie, it lies flat. I hope that makes sense ☺ Very cool.

and the last one of the bunch today is Gemma. I adore Gemma! This bottle shot is totally not color accurate. Gemma has an amazing shimmer to it.

and here are the swatches....

Thanks again, Peach for the wonder prize. I'm sorry it took me so long to post about it ♥

Princess Nichole #102 - a blurple colored foil

I've had this color for a while and decided to pull it out of my Melmer the other week. Right now my current mint green mani is wearing like iron...no tipwear ☺

This is a brand called Princess Nichole. The color is #102, which is a blurple foil. I only have one other color from them and it's a purple/blue duochrome. I'll have to dig that one out and swatch it soon.

A nice change of pace

So, I decided to take a break away from my usual vampy colors and go for something springy....why not mint green? This is Avon Teal Waters. I don't wear it much, it's a mint green frost:

Not bad, but for some reason this color always wants to bubble on me...so I added a layer of Maybelline Express Finish in Shooting Stars. I really like the two together:

Look at that holo glitter:

My collection of China Glaze In the Mood polishes

So, these old China Glazes are pretty cool. Most don't have labels anymore, so I don't know the names, and only one out of the whole bunch still changes color.

The first one is a purple cream with sparse amount of blue glitter. This is the only changer of the bunch, it goes from the base to a blue color. The next one is called Plum Gold to Brown Gold, Burgundy to Red, then we have an olive-ish green with pink shimmer and a mint green with blue shimmer.

Here are some swatches in the same order. Unfortunately, you can't really see the pink shimmer in the olive green one, but other than that, these are pretty color accurate.
